Dr. Bush graduated from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed
his both his internship and residency at the Mercer University School of
Medicine in partnership with the Medical Center of Central Georgia. His
undergraduate degree was attained at the
University of Georgia ,
where he graduated cum laude. Dr. Bush is Board Certified by the American Board
of Surgery and belongs to The Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic
Surgeons. He is also a member of the Medical Association of Georgia and the
American
College of Surgeons.
His honors and awards include receiving the Gold Foundation Humanism
and Excellence in Teacher Award, the Ty Cobb Educational Foundation Scholarship
and the Phi Gamma Delta Educational Foundation Graduate Fellowship. Dr.
Bush’s volunteer experiences include mission trips to
Mexico and Zambia ,
along with a medical mission trip to
Kenya . His interests include
spending time with his family, hunting, backpacking and enjoying
University of
Georgia football.
