Food and Nutrition Services Director Ike Miller and his staff take
pride in having a spotless kitchen. Cleanliness is key when serving food at the
hospital because of all the different groups who dine there: patients,
employees, and the public. What most people do not realize are all the hours of
hard work behind the scenes that is put into serving a variety of great tasting
food, all the while keeping the materials and working area spotless. Because a
health inspection may occur at any time, the Café staff simply operates as if
it will be inspected each day.
The last six of seven inspections have all scored 100% for The Café.
The award-winning Café at Wayne Memorial serves three meals a day and is open
