National Medical Laboratory Week

As the school year draws to a close, and groups of students look forward to taking those last few tests, a group nearby is looking to conduct more tests. In fact, this dedicated group composed of 29 people completed 165,320 tests in one year. And they’re eager to conduct more.

 

The Lab staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to quickly yet thoroughly run tests for patients. In fact, many diagnoses from strep throat to leukemia are largely based on lab results. This discreet team of 29 reaches every area of the hospital including each patient’s room, nursing unit, clinic and department with swift and quiet efficiency. Like other areas of the hospital, associates living in other counties beyond Wayne choose to drive into the county because of the facility and teamwork atmosphere.
